...so I may as well get off my butt and create another journal; I have been stockpiling a bunch of images to feature after all. So without further ado (and because I don't really have anything to say, or rather the energy to be particularly creative with my words):

Did anyone say orange?
For those of you not in Sydney, you should take a look at look at the local Sydney news, for example the Sydney Morning Herald. There is no white balance problem with those photos. They are not photoshopped. Believe me, I commuted through it this morning and am still looking at it out the window of my office building in the CBD.
There was a significant cold front that passed through from the west last night (coming from where all the good Aussie "red earth" is). It unleashed very heavy rain & wind last night, and then this morning... The whole of Sydney is blanketed in thick, orange dust!

Not much to say...but check these out
I don't really have anything to say except that I've been collecting a bunch of other people's shots with the intention of doing some feature journals. Only problem is I'm generally too lazy busy to actually create the journal entries. Now I know that most of them have had plenty of exposure already (no pun intended) but I don't care - I still plan to beautify my little corner of the web with their awesome images anyway.

(I wonder if I can start every sentence in this journal with 'I'...hmmm...)
I had last week off work so I took the very limited opportunity to go scout out a couple new locations (well, new for me). I walked in to Brent's "Canyon X" from the Turimetta end (south) and, since I was short on time, left via Brent's route up the north cliff (against my better judgment) - Brent is insane! I took my son u
A couple nice surprises recently
For someone who's not a photographer, I've received a couple nice dA surprises (for my very casual hobby) in the last few weeks.
I got my first DD a few weeks ago, which caught me completely off guard. I logged on to dA one morning and was expecting the usual 5 or so activities, perhaps a comment or reply and a couple new deviations & journals to read through. What I saw was 5000+ page views, 1000 activities and about 200 comments. I thought dA was busted! It took me a minute or two to realise what was going on. It's amazing the increase in exposure (no pun intended) you get from a single DD. The irony of it is the photo's not even one
